STEAM at Dover Children's Museum

Come join us at the Children's Museum of NH for a fun STEAM activity:

Flight: Pushes and Pulls, Grades K - 5
Learn all about the forces of flight in this build-and-test lab. This lesson concludes with each student trying out a flying contraption of their own design in our Build It. Fly It. exhibit!

All other children can come along and enjoy exploring the museum.

This museum is located in Dover, NH. Please plan travel time accordingly and plan to arrive a few minutes early so the program can begin on time. See their website for directions.

Recommended GPS setting: The museum does not have a designated parking lot. All parking is available through the city of Dover. While the museum's physical address is 6 Washington Street, metered parking spots are available on an adjacent street, so it is best to program the following address into your GPS Unit: 10 Henry Law Avenue, Dover NH 03820

The program is for 20 students with 4 adult chaperones. Obviously, many of our families also have younger siblings that would also enjoy exploring the museum. Please consult with any friends that plan to attend and choose one mom to be in the workshop while the other mom(s) explore the museum with the children not participating in the class. Every additional adult that chaperones the class will have to pay $12.50. Every child that tags along in the class will have to pay $12.50. But, there are other options...

There are ways to get reduced admission. Once you secure one of these ways, you will have to reserve a spot on the Children Museum's website. You will not be able to make your reservation for March 30th, 9am-12pm, until they open those days. See their website for instructions on how to make a reservation using one of these discounts.

Library Letters: You can reserve a letter from participating local libraries, to visit CMNH on a specific day. Those letters offer half-off admission for up to 4 people. Check with your local library for availability. 

Military Discounts: During the School Year (Fall to early Spring): Military personnel, including veterans, and their families will receive a 50% admission discount throughout the school year. Supported by Service Credit Union. Summer: Armed Forces Day through Labor Day, we offer current and retired military personnel and their immediate family members free admission. Supported by Service Credit Union and Blue Star Museums.

Reciprocal Museum Membership: If you have a membership to another ASTC member museum, you can receive free admission into CMNH for up to 4 family members. If you are a member of another ACM museum, you can receive half off admission into CMNH for up to 6 family members. Must present a current reciprocal museum membership card. 

EBT Card & WIC Card Discount: The Children's Museum of New Hampshire offers $3 per person admission to those who show an EBT or WIC card and a valid ID at our front desk. This discount is valid for up to two adults (the EBT/WIC cardholder, his/her spouse/partner or co-parent) and their dependent children. The Children's Museum of New Hampshire accepts valid EBT/WIC cards from NH and other states. Note: EBT/WIC cards are NOT accepted for payment.
