2025 - Strawberry Banke Tour
Please join us for this unique off season field trip to Strawbery Banke Museum in Portsmouth! We will be participating in a history explorers program.
Step into the past using a book as your time machine! Hear an amusing story of a colonial boy’s day in Williamsburg, VA. Experience his life as you participate in kitchen chores in front of an open hearth, make old-fashioned toothpowder, dress up and simulate a stagecoach ride, and play an 18th-century school game. Participants will visit three historic homes as they compare and contrast daily life 200 years ago to daily life today. Topics include health & hygiene, school, entertainment, and daily chores.
Dependent upon sign ups, we will split the older kids off and they will do a program suitable for their age. Parents with multiple aged children would need to be okay with choosing one group of their children to be with as the programs would be running simultaneously. There would however be parents in each group.
There will be a lunch break built in so please pack your lunches.
They request that just one parent from each family attend.
