DESCRIPTION:Dive into marine science! At Ocean Discovery Day\, UNH will ope
 n the doors of its marine research laboratories to highlight how scientist
 s and students engage with our rich natural resources and utilize our prox
 imity to the ocean for their studies. Join us at the Chase Ocean Engineeri
 ng Laboratory on the UNH Durham campus and enjoy family-friendly\, hands-o
 n demonstrations\, tours and talks. Check out the hand-powered wave tank\,
  watch animations of whale behavior underwater and drive mini-ROVs in the 
 deep tank. Demos and talks on topics such as ocean renewable energy\, aqua
 culture\, seafloor mapping and underwater exploration are offered\, while 
 hands-on activities include marine life touch tanks\, lobster banding and 
 fish printing. The event will host some new activities this year\, includi
 ng a focus on seaweed and its culinary uses. Join us for this free day of 
 ocean discovery!
